  • Currently, Gelfman Photography does not offer videography.

    However, we’ve partnered with several trusted local videographers we’ve had the pleasure of working alongside over the years, and we’re happy to offer you a curated selection of excellent options for videography coverage.

  • The Aisle Guide wrote an awesomely-accurate article on this. Our “full day” coverage starts at 8 hours, but the average wedding day (as far as photgraphy coverage) is generally 8 to 10 hours dependent upon various factors that we’d be happy to discuss with you further.

  • As a general rule we aim to be as non-invasive as possible. The last thing we want to do is deter you from fully experiencing and enjoying your big day. Other than the specified portrait session(s) that we usually try to schedule in one large chunk (generally sometime during the first half of the day), we like to remain flies-on-the-wall and catch all the candid moments as they’re naturally occurring!

  • Unless there are rarely-occuring hindering circumstances, Lesley and Matt will be your main photographers, sometimes being additionally-supported by an assistant.

  • Absolutely not! We will always be right there to assist you with any “poses” we’re looking to set up.

    That said, while there are always a handful of lightly-posed moments, our approach leans heavily on gentle prompts rather than rigid direction. These prompts are simple, loosely-guided actions that encourage natural interaction between you and your partner, allowing us to document your genuine expressions as they unfold. The result is imagery that feels candid, effortless, and true to your personalities—and, as a bonus, far more enjoyable than standing stiffly in front of a lens!

  • Yes, we do have liability insurance that is accepted at all major venues.

  • Most definitely. When it comes to photographing weddings, it’s imperative that you have back-up’s for your back-up’s.

    These are once-in-a-lifetime occasions, and there’s no room for risk when it comes to preserving what’s being documented. For that reason, we work with carefully selected equipment that records simultaneously to dual memory cards and arrive at every wedding with a full range of backup cameras, lenses, and lighting. This redundancy ensures that, should anything happen to our primary gear, your day continues to be documented seamlessly and without interruption.
