Frequently Asked Questions
How do we receive our videos?
Your videos are sent to you via a digital download link that will be emailed to you upon completion. Videos are guaranteed to remain hosted by us for 8 to 12 months, and you will be given very early notice as to exactly when your video will stop being hosted so you have ample time to re-download if necessary.
When do we receive our videos?
On average, you’ll receive your custom-edited, finished video productions 4 to 6 months from your wedding date. Varied delivery times are primarily based upon the length of your coverage, complexity of your product(s), and time of year. We do not outsource our editing and take utmost pride in perfecting the extremely limited number of video projects we take on annually.
Do you provide “RAW” footage?
“RAW” footage is often a misunderstood concept. In practice, it consists of a large, often-overwhelming collection of varied clips recorded in what’s known as a flat profile. This format captures the maximum possible image data, giving us the flexibility to carefully refine, color-correct, and color-grade the footage into a polished, professional final product.
However, before that process takes place, RAW footage appears extremely low-contrast and largely devoid of defined color tones, often looking washed-out or even grayish. Delivering footage in this state would not only lack visual appeal, but would also involve impractically large file sizes and an unorganized collection of clips rather than anything close to a cohesive, finished presentation.
That being said, for an additional fee, we do offer what we call a Core Edit. This is a clean, straightforward edit that more closely matches what many people expect when they think of “RAW” footage.
The Core Edit is organized chronologically and can be delivered either as one continuous video or divided into simple, chapter-style sections (such as getting ready, ceremony, and reception). It includes basic color correction only, with no stylized editing, special effects, or added music. The audio consists solely of the original sound captured on the day, without any additional enhancement or mixing.
Can we choose our music?
Music is one of the most important elements of a video production, so it’s completely understandable that many couples want to choose songs they personally love. However, all music used in your wedding film must be legally licensed, as we are required to have full commercial usage rights.
To ensure this, we subscribe to an extensive library of professionally licensed music spanning a wide range of genres. Before any song selections are made, we take time to learn about your personal musical tastes and the overall emotional tone you’d like your edited wedding film to convey—whether that’s something slow and romantic, upbeat and joyful, or anywhere in between.
