Our style is primarily documentary with a touch of some editorial flare. We always strive to make even our slightly more guided portraits maintain a natural, effortless, and spontaneous feel—all while still maintaining that refined and elegant feel associated with commercial work.
As a general rule, we aim to be as non-invasive as possible. We never want photography to take you out of the experience of fully enjoying your celebration. Whenever we’re not actively directing certain parts of the day, we prefer to blend into the background and capture the moments as they naturally unfold, preserving all of those genuine candid interactions you'll love to look back on.
Unless there are rarely-occurring, likely emergency circumstances, Lesley and Matt will always be
your main photographers, sometimes being additionally-supported by an lighting assistant.
do you expect us to know how to pose?
Of course not! We will always be right there to assist you with any “poses” we’re looking to set up. That said, while there are always a handful of lightly-posed moments, our approach leans heavily on gentle prompts rather than rigid direction. These prompts are simple, loosely-guided actions that encourage natural interaction between you and your partner, allowing us to document your genuine expressions as they unfold. The result is imagery that feels candid, effortless, and true to your personalities.
As a bonus, it's far more enjoyable than just stiffly standing in front of a lens!

Yes, we do have liability insurance that is accepted at all major venues.

Absolutely! We always help our couples create a timeline for their day. We know how important and momentous this event is, and we’re here to help with anything you need throughout the planning process. From organizing the flow of the day to making sure everything runs smoothly, we work closely with our couples to create a timeline that feels seamless, stress-free, and tailored to their vision.
